Food was varied and always a choice to suit us, veggie option, meat or fish to choose from. Smaller sister to the luxury Hotel The Crystal, the Sportiv is a traditional and informal hotel offering outstanding value for money.

The food was cold, the plates were cold and the quality seemed to be the left overs of the Crystal hotel.

This year the hotel changed to an extremely limited buffet service. Can't go wrong for the money. The right place for perfect rest and relaxation, entertainment, sports and activities, jovial hours at the bar, excellent culinary delights served in a very special ambiance. But we’ve had a fabulous week made better by the lovely staff in this no frills but comfortable hotel. This package holiday to Hotel Sportiv in Obergurgl, Austria departs Saturday 2 nd January 2021, for a 7 night stay on a "half board" board basis. Comfortable room search I wouldn't put my dog into the room that we were forced to sleep in over the Christmas holidays. However, the hotel sportiv on the left side is an absolute dump.

The food was mediocre with just a vegetarian choice on our package. I love waking up every morning in the warm room and comfy beds and walking into the balcony and seeing the ski slopes right behind you!

The table cloth was thread bare and the carpet filthy.

A few quirks as you’d expect from any hotel, eg no drinks from the bar can be taken into the restaurant and they forgot to leave our breakfast out for early morning departure, but overall as tap water was free and the food so good it balances well!!!! Avoiding cod in the mountains, we ate in their restaurant one evening and it was very good.Bathrooms were clean, but with broken fittings. Food is typically Austrian although we did notice that some people requested typically British food!! I’ve also been to plenty of ski depots and the one here is unbelievably good.

The Sportiv hotel is generaly a good place to stay, ideal location, lovely Spa area, good bar and the room was basic but clean. Call 020 7770 6888. On top of all this you can use the spa facilities of the Crystal Hotel next door. Right next to the Festkogel gondola is one of the best value options available in Obergurgl – the Hotel Sportiv. 0. The boot room and ski shop make everything nice and easy and you can hop on the gondola or bus to get to where you are going.
